Closure subsidy by Tokyo metropolitan government

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has already decided to provide a “cooperative payment to prevent the spread of infection” to a wide range of industries, such as restaurants and entertainment facilities, that cooperated in the closure of the business from April 16 to May 6. (This is a separate measure from cash subsidy by the state government).  Applications are accepted from April 22 to June 15, 2020.

Besides, according to a report yesterday, May 5, the Tokyo metropolitan government has decided to provide additional cooperation subsidy for stores and facilities that will be closed from May 7 to May 31. The amount is 500,000 yen for one store, or 1,000,000 yen for multiple stores, the same as the amount that has already been decided.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will submit a budget for this case to the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly at the end of May.
